FE-227 is useful:
  • where an environmentally acceptable agent is essential
  • where clean up of other media presents a problem
  • where weight versus suppression potential is a factor
  • where an electrically non-conductive medium is needed
  • and where human compatibility an overriding factor.

FE-227 is a colorless, liquefied compressed gas. It is stored as a liquid and dispensed into the hazard as a colorless, electrically non conductive vapor that is clear and does not obscure vision. It leaves no residue and has acceptable toxicity for use in occupied spaces at design concentration. FE-227 extinguishes a fire by a combination of chemical and physical mechanisms. FE-227 does not displace oxygen and therefore is safe for use in occupied spaces without fear of oxygen deprivation.

FE-227 is an effective fire extinguishing agent that can be used on many types of fires. It is effective for many surface fires, such as flammable liquids, and most solid combustible materials. On a weight-of-agent basis, FE-227 is a very effective gaseous extinguishing agent. The FE-227 extinguishing concentration for normal heptane (cup burner method) is approximately 5.8% by volume. The minimum design concentration for total flood applications should be in accordance with NFPA 2001. FE-227 complies with NFPA Standard 2001 - current edition.

CO2 at atmospheric pressure is a colorless, odorless and electrically Non-Conductive inert gas. It has high expansion ratio, which facilities rapid discharge and allows three dimensional quick penetrations in the entire hazard area. Made from premium components, this CO2 Gas Flooding System’s importance lies in the fact that it has high efficiency to extinguish fire by reducing the oxygen content of the protected area below the point where it can support combustion. This CO2 Gas Flooding System provides a blanket of heavy gas that reduces the oxygen content of the atmosphere to a point where combustion is not sustainable. We offer the CO2 Gas Flooding System that provides its own pressure for discharging through Valves, Pipe work and Nozzles.

Applications:
Modern, more efficient equipment makes use of carbon dioxide to displace intracardiac gases in a safe procedure. The carbon dioxide field-flooding technique is safer, easier, and more efficacious than tradition. Used for machinery spaces, pump rooms and cargo holds, the CO2 by suppressing the oxygen content in the space. From main distribution valves, a piping system is used to distribute the gas to the discharge nozzles, which are placed uniformly throughout the protected CO2 extinguishing system is a total flooding system designed to use in engine rooms, pump rooms and cargo holds. It extinguishes fires using CO2 by suppressing the oxygen content in the space. Designed to withstand every climatic conditions, these devices are widely used in following area of applications:

FM-200 has established itself as one of the most popular clean fire suppression agents. This is due to its ability to quickly knock down Class A, B and C fires with no risk of thermal shock damage to delicate equipment. FM-200 is electrically non-conductive and non-corrosive; it leaves no residue.

Another major consideration is the fact that, if discharged, the FM-200 gas does not itself pose any threat to human life. FM200 exists as a gas in the earth's atmosphere and is one of the by-products of combustion. Its use has no environmental impact.

FM 200 agent extinguishers Class A, B and C Fires by interrupting the chemical chain reaction. It absorbs heat speeding the fire suppression process. It is a colorless and odorless gas and does not leave any residue to clean up.

FM200 Systems are useful:

  • Cell Sites
  • Computer Rooms and Sub Floors
  • Healthcare Facilities
  • Historical Buildings
  • Museums and Art Galleries
  • Process Control Rooms
  • Robotic Systems
  • Tape Storage Libraries
  • Telecommunication Facilities
  • Vaults and Record Storage

NAF S-III is a clean, non-conductive media used for the protection of a variety of potential fire hazards, including electrical and electronic equipment. NAF S-III is a clean gaseous agent at atmospheric pressure and does not leave a residue. It is colorless and non-corrosive.

NAF S-III acts as a fire-extinguishing agent by breaking the free radical chain reaction that occurs in the flame during combustion and pyrolysis. Like Halon 1301, NAF S-III has a better efficiency with flaming liquids than with deep-seated Class A fires.

NAF S-III fire extinguishing systems have the capability to rapidly suppress surface-burning fires within enclosures. The extinguishing agent is a specially developed chemical that is a gas at atmospheric pressure and is effective in an enclosed risk area. NAF S-III extinguishes most normal fires at the design concentration by volume of 8.60% at 20° C.

NAF S-III is stored in high-pressure containers and super-pressurized by dry nitrogen to provide additional energy to ensure rapid discharge. At the normal operating pressure of 360 psi (24.8 bar) or 600 psi (42 bar), NAF is in liquid form in the container.

Once the system is activated, the container valves are opened and the nitrogen propels the liquid under pressure through the pipe work to the nozzles, where it vaporizes. The high rate of the discharge through the nozzles ensures a homogeneous mixture with the air. Sufficient quantities of NAF S-III should be discharged to meet the concentration required and the pressure at each nozzle must be located to achieve uniform mixing.

INERGEN agent is a plentiful, non-corrosive gas that does not support combustion nor react with most substances. INERGEN agent contains only naturally occurring gases which have no impact on the ozone or the environment in general. INERGEN agent is a mixture of three inerting (oxygen diluting) gases: 52% nitrogen, 40% argon, and 8% carbon dioxide. INERGEN agent extinguishes fire by lowering the oxygen content below the level that supports combustion. When INERGEN agent is discharged into a room, it introduces the proper mixture of gases that still allow a person to breathe in a reduced oxygen atmosphere. It actually enhances the body’s ability to assimilate oxygen. The normal atmosphere in a room contains approximately 21% oxygen and less than 1% carbon dioxide. If the oxygen content is reduced below 15% most ordinary combustibles will not burn. INERGEN agent will reduce the oxygen content to approximately 12.5% while increasing the carbon dioxide content to about 4%. The increase in the carbon dioxide content increases a person’s respiration rate and the body’s ability to absorb oxygen. Simply stated, the human body is stimulated by the carbon dioxide to breathe more deeply and rapidly to compensate for the lower oxygen content of the atmosphere.

INERGEN is an effective fire extinguishing agent that can be used on many types of fires. INERGEN extinguishing system units are designed for total flooding protection against Class A surface burning, Class B flammable liquid, and Class C fires occurring within an enclosure by lowering the oxygen content below the level that supports combustion.INERGEN agent has been tested by FMRC for inerting capabilities. Those tests have shown that INERGEN agent, at design concentrations between 40% and 50% has successfully inerted mixtures of propane/ air, and methane/air.

Novec 1230 is the newest clean-agent gas available on the market. It is marketed as a long-term sustainable alternative to FM-200 and Halon. Novec 1230 has a 0.0 ozone depletion potential (equivalent to FM-200), but has an atmospheric lifetime of only five days, compared to FM-200’s half life of over 20 years. Novec 1230 has a zero global warming potential. Novec 1230 is designed to a concentration level of 4-6%, which will require less gas than other clean agent. Novec 1230 extinguishes the fire by heat absorption, and is heavier than air, so the gas will sink in the room. Novec 1230 is also safe for electronic equipment, so the data center may not have to be shut down in the event of a gas discharge.

Novec 1230 will require the same amount of tanks as FM-200, and is stored as a liquid under pressure. Under normal atmospheric conditions, it will exist as a gas. The system is approximately 5-7% more expensive than FM-200.
